tea in china (and other places)
A collection of video stills + everyday images

In Beijing (filming spring wind) I often stayed out in the city for the entire day, resting in restaurants, parks, and cafes. I started to leave my video camera out on the tables, composing images with the teapots, water glasses, my hands, and the movement of the people in the spaces. At home, from time to time, I have made more of these, setting 'breakfast' or 'tea' scenes in various apartments.

1. Milk and grain tea in a Mongolian restaurant, with fine sugar.
2. Green tea and peanuts at a park in the summertime in Beijing.
3. Fresh nettle tea at 9pm.
4. Tea while thinking about a film, with notebook and headphones.
